Sierra Designs Moken 4 Man Separate Bedrooms
The Sierra Designs Moken comes as a 4 person or 6 person tent but this review is specifically of the sierra designs moken 4 person tent. This is a 3 season tent and is recommended by all the camper reviews I have seen except one! I’ll explain about that one later on under the “worst point” heading.
To give you an idea of the features of this tent it has 2 separate bedrooms either end of the tent with a large living area between them big enough to cook in and socialise. It is reported as being easy to assemble with colour coded poles that are very strong yet lightweight. There are 2 doors, plenty of storage pockets and good air flow to prevent condensation.

Best Points of Sierra Designs Moken
The things that have appealed to most campers is the large living area, having separate bedrooms and feeling stable during windy weather.
Worst Point of Sierra Designs Moken
There was one camper who thought this tent was awful and returned it! The floor does not go from one end of the tent to the other and so there is a gap and for this camper the idea of bugs etc. freely moving about was too much! I have to say that I would agree with this personally but it is easily remedied by getting a footprint and other reviews have mentioned that they did this. However having said this other people have prefered this design because it means that if you use the living area for cooking then there is no concern that the floor could get damaged. I guess it is a personal preference.

The tent has also been treated to prevent growth of bacteria, mould and milldew which is great as often you have to pack up in wet conditions and it can be a few days later before you get to dry it out. Overall the sierra designs moken tent is a great tent for size and ease of assembly. It is too heavy for backpacking but ideal for a family or if you have a car.
