Sierra Designs Wu Hu Annex Tent

There are two Sierra Designs Wu Hu Annex 3 season tents. One sleeping 6 called the 4+2 and the other sleeping 8 called the 6+2. The best thing about them is that they have 2 separate rooms – they call the smaller one an annex.

4+2 Annex Tent

This sierradesigns wu hu has one larger room able to sleep up to 4 people and the smaller annex can sleep up to 2 people.

6+2 Annex Tent

As with the one above this sierradesigns has one even larger room able to sleep up to 6 people while the annex can again sleep up to 2 people.

Here are some of the features: 2 large doors, 2 separate rooms, flexible rainfly, front and rear vestibules for storage, dye-free optic white material, lots of room, lightweight (aluminium poles) and free standing.

This tent is very easy to set up due in part to the colour coding although some people have commented that it would be better to have totally different colours instead of light and dark versions of the same colour. I have seen one camper stating that they were able to set up the tent by themselves and it took just 10 minutes. That is impressive!

The tent has stood up well in windy, wet weather so a very good sturdy tent. Inside it is light and airy and there is plenty of head height. The inside has one pocket for keeping things in and there are four loops for hooking things on to.

Sierra Designs Wu Hu Worst Point

The reviews I’ve seen have all been fairly consistent about the one thing that is bad with this tent. The stakes that are supplied with it are cheap and nasty. Therefore I would certainly suggest that you obtain your own stakes for use with it. Another thing to note is that condensation does form when it is cold so it is best not to keep items resting against the inside of the tent. Fortunately it doesn’t seem to drip from the center. Also when it is wet you need to be careful going in and out of the exit as rain water does run off the tent. All relatively minor things though.

Sierra Designs Wu Hu Best Point

There doesn’t seem to be one thing in particular that stands out about this tent. However, a lot of reviews have mentioned loving separate bedrooms and using the annex as a screened entry.

The rainfly is flexible and can be used to totally cover the whole tent or to roll back to the middle in dry fine weather. This means that there is great ventilation in hot weather.

Suitability

This tent is ideal for a family where the parents can have their own sleeping area and the children can have the other bedroom. Also suitable for couples who love space!
